Repository
The CopernicusLAC Chile image repository is a regional platform that provides open and free access to satellite data covering Latin America and the Caribbean, captured by the Sentinel constellation of the Copernicus Programme.
This service maintains and manages collections of satellite imagery acquired since its inception in 2014, including optical, radar and altimetry sensors. These images enable the monitoring of natural phenomena and environmental processes across different spatial and temporal scales.
This repository facilitates the search, visualisation and download of satellite data in a simple manner, promoting access to and use of geospatial information in the region. Hosting this extensive image archive on computing infrastructure located in Chile also significantly accelerates access times for users across Latin America and the Caribbean.
At present, the repository contains data corresponding to the most recent rolling year. Access to historical data from 2014 up to the day prior to the start of the rolling period will be enabled shortly.
