In situ data
In-situ data are, in a broad sense, all data not taken by a satellite. For Copernicus, it also includes physical observations, such as air temperature or ocean currents, reference data (e.g. maps) and economic, environmental, and social information.
In order to properly use this data, we seek to develop and apply a methodology to gain access to in situ data, both in Chile and throughout our region, encouraging the collection and publication of such data, reaching agreements with other countries and institutions to create a federated strategy to agree on a common set of procedures, protocols, policies, agreements and metadata so that the data can be searched and retrieved throughout the region.
