As part of the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service General Assembly 2025, held in May in Kraków, Poland, CopernicusLAC Chile representatives Macarena Pérez, Camila Gómez and Francisca Gutiérrez were interviewed to present the work carried out by the project in the region. The discussion addressed the main challenges to advancing towards an integrated geospatial information system, the strategies aimed at improving access to satellite data, and the development of products such as the Urban Atlas and land cover and land use maps. They also highlighted the importance of providing clear and accessible services that support both the scientific community and decision-makers in the fields of urban planning and environmental management in Latin America and the Caribbean.
