This Marine User Days event is organised by EUMETSAT. Partners include the European Commission, the European Space Agency, the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, Mercator Ocean International and the Copernicus Marine Service.
The EUMETSAT Marine User Days will bring together current and potential users from across the marine user community. Focusing on data provided by European organisations involved in the Copernicus programme and their role in oceanography and marine applications, the event will showcase use cases. It will also provide users with the opportunity to network across the value chain, and will include a workshop to hear user needs and views.
The focus will be on data across the value chain, including satellite data, derived products, climate data records and their applications. Copernicus will contribute data from EUMETSAT meteorological missions and data from the dedicated satellite application service for oceans and sea ice, thus extending the reach.
The Marine User Days will be open to participation from the entire community, including policy and governance stakeholders, academia, research and commercial entities. Attendees will benefit from the opportunity to present their use cases to the wider community of potential users and customers, but also to the European Commission and representatives of Copernicus’s responsible entities. They will have the opportunity to discuss their use cases and needs with the latter.
The workshop is open to all current or potential users who wish to attend.
Registration is now open, with a deadline of 10 October.
