The Featured Image of the Month (November 2025) shows the Salinas Grandes, a vast salt flat located in north-western Argentina, between the provinces of Jujuy and Salta. Covering an area of approximately 212 km² and situated at an altitude of 3,450 metres above sea level, it forms part of the arid, high-altitude landscape of the Andean Plateau. In the image, captured by the Sentinel-2 satellite on 23 February 2025, the characteristic variations in colour and texture of this saline surface can be observed.
