Cloud
The CopernicusLAC Chile private cloud is specially designed for users in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering a service of virtual machines ready for Earth Observation (EO) image processing, aimed at both development and the production and operation of geomatics applications for monitoring the Earth and its systems.
Three main purposes
1. Geospatial data processing and artificial intelligence: High-performance machines for satellite image analysis, environmental modeling, and training of artificial intelligence (AI) models, with optional access to NVIDIA GPUs and local access to Copernicus satellite data.
2. Geomatics software development: Flexible environments with open tools (Linux, QGIS, PostgreSQL, Python, R, Git, VS Code, among others) to foster innovation and the creation of new solutions in the region.
3. Deployment of applications and services: Stable and scalable infrastructure for providing platforms, APIs, and applications, ensuring operational continuity and efficiency in data management.
Available configurations
The virtual machines are offered in different capacities, ranging from lightweight configurations for development tasks to high-performance GPU environments for intensive workloads:
- Small, Medium, and Large: up to 32 GB RAM, 18 cores, and 7 TB storage.
- AI-Enabled: 24 cores, 64 GB RAM, 6 TB storage, and 6 vGPU.
3. Powerful AI: 32 cores, 96 GB RAM, 8 TB storage, and 16 vGPU.
4. EO Development: servers optimized for services, with up to 64 GB RAM and 4 TB storage, ideal for daily or monthly processing.
