THE OCEAN SPACE FORUM
Following the success of the first event in 2023, Prométhée Earth Intelligence, CNES and Monaco’s Office of Space Affairs are organising the second Ocean Space Forum on Tuesday 2 July 2024 in the prestigious setting of Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum.
Once again this year, the Forum will bring together eminent figures from the worlds of research, politics and business to highlight the contribution of New Space technologies to the preservation and sustainable management of our most precious resource: the Ocean.
The programme will feature a series of captivating round tables looking at key issues through the prism of space, including the preservation of marine ecosystems, the development of the blue economy, the fight against climate change and its impact on the oceans, and the conservation of marine resources.
The OSF 2024 will be an important milestone on the road to the Third United Nations Conference on the Oceans, jointly organised by the governments of France and Costa Rica, to be held in Nice from 9 to 14 June 2025. This conference will play a key role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular Goal 14 to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for development.
Let’s get together on 2 July 2024 in Monaco to help shape a future where New Space offers concrete solutions to preserve the Ocean and its riches for future generations.
