State-of-the-art computing infrastructure, offered to the community in the "Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)" modality in Cloud technology that allows advanced processing of geospatial data and artificial intelligence, development of geomatic software and deployment of regional applications and services.
Objective
To promote technological innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean, providing access to virtual machines configured for projects based on satellite imagery and artificial intelligence, with scalable capabilities and optimized performance.
Methodology
The Private Cloud offers customizable virtual machines (Small, Medium, Large, AI Enabled, AI Powerful, and EO Development), equipped with NVIDIA GPUs and flexible environments including Linux, QGIS, PostgreSQL, Python, R, Git, and VS Code. This architecture allows you to run complete workflows—from Earth Observation (EO) image processing to predictive model training and geospatial service deployment—in a secure and scalable environment.
Three big goals
- Geospatial data processing and artificial intelligence: High-performance machines for satellite image analysis, environmental modeling and training of artificial intelligence (AI) models with optional access to NVIDIA GPUs, with local access to Copernicus satellite data.
- Geomatics software development: Flexible environments with open tools (Linux, QGIS, PostgreSQL, Python, R, Git, VS Code, among others) to promote innovation and the creation of new solutions in the region.
- Application and service deployment: Stable and scalable infrastructure for the provision of platforms, APIs and applications, ensuring operational continuity and efficiency in data management.
Available configurations
Virtual machines are offered in different capacities, ranging from lightweight configurations for development tasks to high-performance environments with GPUs for intensive workloads:
- Small, Medium and Large: up to 32GB of RAM, 18 cores and 7TB of storage.
- AI-enabled: 24 cores, 64 GB of RAM, 6 TB of storage and 6 vGPUs.
- Powerful AI: 32 cores, 96 GB of RAM, 8 TB of storage and 16 vGPUs.
- EO Development: Servers optimized for services, with up to 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage, ideal for daily or monthly processing.
