Salinas Grandes, Argentina

The image for November 2025 shows the Salinas Grandes, a vast salt flat located in northwestern Argentina, between the provinces of Jujuy and Salta. With an approximate area of ​​212 km² and an altitude of 3.450 meters above sea level, it forms part of the arid, high-altitude landscape of the Andean plateau. The image, captured by the Sentinel-2 satellite on February 23, 2025, reveals the characteristic variations in color and texture of this salt flat.
